Health insurance receives 14 tons of medicines from the World Health organization (WHO)

The National Health Insurance Fund and the World Health Organization (WHO) launched the second step of the project to support primary health care centers in Sudan, where health insurance delivered medicines weighing 14 tons at a financial cost of $340,000.

Dr. Nahid Idris, responsible for strengthening the health system at the World Health Organization office in Sudan, revealed that the project will contribute significantly to the provision of medicines that are dispensed free of charge to citizens, especially those with chronic diseases, children, pregnant women, displaced persons, and host families. It will also contribute to the employment and training of cadres through tight coordination with health insurance.

Dr.Sediq Al-Tayeb Wahb, Director of the General Administration of Health Services, headed by the National Health Insurance Fund, expressed that the continuation of the project to support health centers is a response to the humanitarian situation and the development of health services.
